Repentance
A downloadable book
The human race has been ingrained with an intrinsic and debilitating erroneous perception of God, much to our own detriment. This is evident from how we so quickly attribute natural disasters as acts of God. Yet, the Bible says that God is love and love does no harm (1 John 4:8, 16; Romans 13:10).
Ever since the first humans imbibed the knowledge of good and evil, mankind began to think up silly ideas of what God is like and what He wants us to do. To many, God is even non-existent. Consequently, our minds become dark and confused (Romans 1:21, Living Bible).
To clear the smoke of all silly speculations about Him, God sent His only beloved Son as Jesus the Christ to reveal and explain Him as our Father Who Himself tenderly loves us (John 1:18, John 16:27, Amplified Bible).
The beloved Son of God as Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the definitive display and proof of God’s gracious love for us (Romans 5:8).
From the moment we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, we embark on a life-long journey of learning just how much God loves us (Ephesians 3:17-19). Along the way, Satan will try to derail us by submitting contradictory circumstances as evidence to doubt God’s gracious love. This is when the rubber meets the road.
The devil is relentless when it comes to stealing the word of God’s love from our hearts and minds. There is a constant corruption of the loving image of God and hence the continual need for repentance.
