Why did Jesus make mud with His spit and spread it on the man’s eyes? It pointed to Jesus’ divinity as evident from Isaiah 44:18.

As recorded in John 12:41, Isaiah said these things because he saw the glory of Jesus and spoke about Him. And the glory of Jesus refers to His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension; the perfect work of redemption.

Jesus has come to announce the recovery of sight to the blind (Luke 4:18-19).

All of us are blinded to the truth of God’s unconditional love, which has been shown and proven by Jesus Christ and Him crucified (John 16:27; Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:9-10, Amplified Bible).

When we wash our eyes with the truth of God’s love as shown and proven by Jesus Christ and Him crucified, we shall know that God is our Father Who Himself tenderly loves us. And the truth shall set us free.
